Literature & Arts

This section is dedicated to the more practical forms of classical reception:
Authors and poets are encouraged to submit literary texts, in prose or poetry, that deal with Greco-Roman antiquity in some way or another. The length of the work should not exceed those of a typical short story.
In addition, artists can submit videos, photos, paintings, drawings or songs that are inspired by ancient characters, stories and myths.
If you like to submit in this section, do not follow the usual steps of submission, but contact Filippo Carlà-Uhink.

Erscheinungsfrequenz

thersites will appear two times a year, but there will also be special issues dedicated to certain subjects and questions. In each case, we will release a call for papers long in advance on our homepage and on other pages that feature announcements for classical studies (APA, Mommsen-Gesellschaft etc.).

Open-Access-Richtlinie

This journal offers readers open access to all its contents in accordance with the assumption that free availability of research benefits the acquisition and transfer of knowledge. In addition, authors are encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories, on their website or in social and academic networks like www.academia.edu) as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.
